Producer: Evriviadis Sclavos, going by Vladis, farms his 8 hectare of vines located in different places on the Island, in a sustainable way, producing wines focusing on indigenous varietals expressive of the terroir of Cephalonia. His grandfather, coming from a family of ship merchants, came to Cephalonia in 1919 & planted some of the vines that are still in use today.
Place: located in eastern Cephalonia, a Greek Island in the Ionian Sea, under the slopes of Mt. Ainos.

Varietal: Tsaousi is a local variety grown in the hilly region of Monambeles, 50 year old bush vines.
Vinification: fermented with native yeast, rested on the lees for 7 months & bottled unfiltered & unfined
