Producer: Meinklang is a family run mixed-farm, Angela & Werner Michlits run the winery side of things, tending vineyards in Burgenland & Hungary. The Michlits family also produce a variety of crops including fruit orchards, herbs & flowers, ancient grains, as well as some beer production. They are the largest biodynamic farm in Central Europe & have managed to scale up without losing their foundational values, their herd of Angus cattle featured on their labels, as well as a herd of sheep, provide organic fertilizer for live soils, a full circle of life within the vineyards & farm lands.
Place: Located in the middle of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the National Park Neusiedlersee, Seewinkle, in the region of Burgenland, East Austria bordering Hungary.

Name: Mulatschak - is Hungarian in origin, meaning ‘merriment’ also a term for a celebration, the cow on the label is dancing & enjoying its life.
Varietal: Welschriesling, Pinot Gris, Traminer
Soil: Sandy Loam, Rocky Topsoils.
Winemaking: Hand harvest, 5-7 day maceration, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeast, aged 4 months in stainless steel sur lie, bottled without fining or filtration.
