2022 Ceritas, ‘Charles Heintz Vineyard’ Chardonnay, Sonoma County, CA

Producer: John Raytek with his wife Phoebe Bass, founded Ceritas in 2005, focusing on individual sites from the the cool, coastal regions of West Coast Sonoma county & Santa Cruz mountains. They work with grower partners that share a commitment to organic & sustainable farming methods.

Place: The Winery is located in Healdsburg – the grapes come from Charles Heintz Vineyard, West Coast Sonoma, planted in 1980, one of the oldest Chardonnay Vineyards on the Sonoma Coast.

Cultivation: Organic farming

Varietal: Chardonnay, old Wente clone

Soil:  Goldridge Sandy Loam

Winemaking: Handharvest, whole cluster pressed, fermented in barrel, aged in neutral barrel for 12 months on gross lees.
