2021 Bedrock, 'Ode to Lulu' Rosé, Sonoma County, CA, USA

Producer: Morgan Twain-Peterson was exposed to winemaking early thanks to his father Joel Peterson, founder of Ravenswood Winery. He created Bedrock Wine Co. in 2007, working out of a converted chicken coop in a friend's backyard. He was joined by partner Chris Cottrell in 2011, they are dedicated to showcasing grapes sourced from ancient vines &  rehabilitating old vineyards around California. 

Place: The winery is located in the heart of Sonoma Valley, the grapes are sourced from dry farmed, old vineyards in Contra Costa & Sonoma County.

Farming: Organic practices

Varietal: 70% Mataro (ancient Mourvedre), 20% Grenache, 10% Cinsault

Bottling: ‘Ode to Lulu’  is named after Lulu Peyraud, of iconic domaine Tempier, one of their favorite rose producers.

Winemaking: Whole cluster pressed with native yeast, aged in stainless steel.
