Producer:  5th generation winemaker from Morey-Saint-Denis, worked alongside his father Michel before starting on his own in 1995. As he does not own any vines, he works closely with his organic growers, consulting in sustainable farming methods & at harvest time he uses his own team of pickers. He carefully sources fruit from small holdings, from the best parcels in the Côtes de Nuits, selecting only older vines and in his winemaking process he follows the rhythms of the moon cycles, using clay jars as well as older wood barrels for aging.

Place: Saint-Jacques is a high-altitude parcel in Marsannay, in the northern Côte de Nuits.

Farming: organic

Varietal: Pinot Blanc

Soil: limestone & gravel

Winemaking: fermented with indigenous yeast and matured in old oak barrels, bottled unfined & unfiltered.
