2022 Alfredo Maestro, ‘Lovamor’ Albillo Mayor, Castilla Y Leon, Spain

Producer: Alfredo Maestro Tejeror,  grew up in a winemaking family in Penafiel, started making his own wine in 1998. He makes wine without additives from old vine, neglected, poor soil, high elevation parcels around Castilla y Leon & Sierra de Gredos Mountains. The goal ‘easy wines with character imprinted with the earth & the vintage’.

Place: Ribera del Duero in the Province of Castilla y León, northern Spain.

Winemaking: Hand Harvested, destemmed, macerated 1 week on the skins, fermented with wild yeast in steel vats & french oak barrels, bottled without additives.
