Producer: Anna is a biologist & oenologist, She started out runningĀ her family estate in 2005, then started her own label working with 25 hectares of vineyards collectively called Mas Mares within theĀ Cap de Creus nature reserve of Spain, growing the local Garnachas in proximity to the coast.
Place: The Espelt winery is just outside the village of Vilajuiga, in the Northern Emporda DO that borders France in Catalunya, The vineyard, Mas Mares lies within the Cap de Creus Nature Reserve, the vines are surrounded by the Mediterranean, exposed to salty winds from the sea & inland.
